Francis Firebrace is a cultural educator, storyteller and artist, combining the four dimensions of the dreaming; storytelling, dance, art and music. He also teaches Citizenship / Personal - Social and Community Health Education and Art.

Francis has a Police Clearance to work in the UK Education System.

Francis presents workshops and performances to groups of all ages and types. Apart from regular presentations for schools and other educational institutions throughout Australia and the UK, his past projects include:

Dreaming On-Line One of four Aboriginal Storytellers chosen to appear on Commonwealth Institute/Australian Museum website and commissioned to produce audio versions of two Dreamtime stories for inclusion on the website and to participate in on-line storyteller residency.


Commonwealth Institute Kensington High st London Performed Dreamtime stories and conducted Aboriginal Art workshops 4th 5th 6th 30th July 5th 12th 19th August 2000

National Storytelling Network Performed Dreamtime stories in Nottingham, Birmingham and Milton Keynes to name a few. 12th - 23rd September 2000

National Botanical Gardens, Canberra 5th - 9th July 1999 Daily performances including the opening ceremony, performing to Parliamentary Dignitaries and the Songlines Concert on the 7th July, performing Dreamtime stories to an audience of 4,000.

NAIDOC MASS St Christopher's Cathedral, Manuka, Canberra 30th June 1999 Performed Dreamtime stories for the Archbishop and Cathedral Audience.

ACT and Regions Catholic Education Tour 21st June - 2nd July 1999 Performed Dreamtime stories for the local catholic schools.

Australia Day Citizenship Ceremony Performed to celebrity audience . Australia Day 1999

University of Boston, Sydney Internship Programme A night of Aboriginal Culture featuring stories, dance and art. 24th March 1999

Storytelling at Glistening Waters Storytelling Festival, Masterton New Zealand, October 23rd- 26th October 1998. Followed by a tour of the South Island of New Zealand where he told stories to schools and community districts.

Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, 1st February 1998, Australia Day Celebration - sponsored by the National Indigenous Performing Company - performed stories.

Edinburgh Storytelling Festival in conjunction with CHOGM conference, storytelling performances - The Scottish Storytelling Centre November 1997
